DEMOCRATIZING INNOVATION FOR THE AMERICAS
The Logo:
The aim of DIA is to provide general access to technology innovation, generate opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, and training in the use and appropriation of art technologies. The focal audience of the initiative group is young people from vulnerable communities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In response to these objectives, we thought of a fresh, modern, movement. In this way, we integrate elements of communication and technology, such as WiFi, and a sans serif font to which young people can feel identified. All this in the same line of the graphic image of the other initiatives of “Trust, “Armando Paz” and “POETA”.
The Mascot:
The DIA mascot design portrays a streamlined friendly robot. The friendly features of the robot are included to convey a welcoming and accessible environment in the centers for innovation through which the Trust provides training with advanced technology to create cooperative locations within communities. These new technologically advanced locations will provide new services and products based on innovative ideas, and in return, generate social and economic change for their own communities.

DIA Logo Usage and Beyond:
For us it is always so heartening and rewarding to see one of our logo designs being used so many years after it was designed.
